We're excited to share another recent success story from Dickinson Group of Companies, showcasing our commitment to innovation and problem-solving in onsite machining. Our client in the paper and pulp industry faced a critical issue when the M36 bolts on the slew ring of their reclaimer broke unexpectedly, risking production breakdown.
Traditionally, solving this problem would involve costly and time-consuming measures like removing the entire head of the reclaimer. However, we thought outside the box and designed a custom machine specifically for this challenge. Using a hydraulic-driven chain system, we drilled out the broken bolts, repaired damaged threads, and installed new bolts within the confined space.
By opting for our onsite machining solution, we completed the task in just 5 days, saving our client from an estimated 4 weeks of unplanned downtime. Our commitment to excellence and tailored solutions allowed us to minimize costs and get the plant back in operation swiftly.
At Dickinson Group of Companies, we're dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions that save our clients time and money. This case study is a testament to our ability to overcome obstacles, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity.
